Whitemoney, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 6, has replied to concerns about his decision to enter the Nigerian music industry.
Whitemoney recently released a song that has received a lot of praise from fans.
Some Nigerians praised him, while others advised him to give up music and use his prize money toward something more worthwhile, claiming that he lacked skill in that area.
On CoolFm, Whitemoney responded to criticisms of his music career by saying that his music isn’t for everyone and that he doesn’t need a smooth voice to wow the audience.
Music, he believes, is all about communicating the proper message to his audience.
“There are a lot of comparisons with former BBNaija winners or roommates that went into music,” he remarked.
“I have no desire to pursue a career in music. I’ve always enjoyed music. I didn’t have the same opportunity to show it off as I do now.”
He went on to say:
“I’m fine with my audience but my music is not for everyone. It’s not really about providing a smooth voice; it’s about communicating my thoughts through music”.
While some individuals urged him to abandon music as a vocation, others simply stated that he was not cut out for it.
Despite the response, the reality star expressed hope in a video that appeared to be an interview about how far his music will go.
Whitemoney stated that he will be attending the MTV Accolades as well as any other major awards presented by the worldwide music business.
