As the grammy award organizers announced the nominees for the 65th edition, Nigerian superstar Tems re-defined the history of Nigerian music.

Tems has altered the course of Nigerian music by becoming the first female Nigerian artist to receive not one, but two Grammy nominations as part of the full list of nominees for the 65th Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 5, 2023.

Tems bagged two huge nominations for her contribution to the hit collaboration with Future and Drake titled ‘Wait For U.’ The singer was nominated in the ‘Best Rap Song‘ and ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance‘ categories of the prestigious awards. Huge win for the singer whose vocals had many entrapped on the song following its release.

TEMS also received another nomination for the Album Of The Year as a featured artist on Beyonce‘s ‘Renaissance‘ album taking her total nominations for the Grammy Awards 2023 to 3 nominations.
