Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid recently hinted on the release of his 4th studio album to be titled “ More Love, Less Ego “ via his Instagram page on the 30th Day of October, 2021. The new album is tentatively titled “ More Love , Less Ego” and we briefly examine some facts and expectations concerning this new album.
The Afropop Artiste whose single “Essence“ featuring Tems has made it to the Top Ten Billboard Charts stated via his Instagram post that his next album is dropping after his last tour date in 2022. By our calculation, the album is expected to drop between January and February 2022 after his Made in Lagos Tour in Canada comes to an end.
In the last five months, Wizkid has been seen in the studio working with artistes like Wande Coal, Buju, RoddyRich, Bella Shmurda and Producers like P2J, Metro Boom, KelP and Legendary Beats among others. We expect to see some of these artistes and producers on the album and a couple of surprises too.
His last album “Made in Lagos“ achieved tremendous worldwide success and has been touted to be one of the best albums to come out of the Contemporary Nigerian music industry. A potential nominee and winner for the Grammy’s 2022 song of the year (Essence), RnB song of the year (Essence) and Best Global Album (Made in Lagos Deluxe) Categories, Wizkid will hope to replicate the success of his Made in Lagos Album and also generate needed publicity before the awards hold in Los Angeles on the 31st of January, 2022.
