Six Nigerian Artists That Promised The Grammy Award

As the 63rd Grammy Awards was held on the 14th of March, 2021 and some Nigerian artistes like Burna Boy and Wizkid clinched the award, we bring to you “Six Nigerian Artistes that have promised to bring home the Grammy Awards.” 

6) Yung L –  Zimmlife CEO and Recording Artiste, Yung L, assured Nigerians that he was coming home with the Grammy award on his ” Yaadman King-Size”  project released in 2021. The former Choc boyz affiliate has released a string of successful projects like like ” Better Late than Never (2017), “Juice & Zimm”(2020) and “Yaadman King-size” (2021).

5) Terry Apala – The Champagne Shower crooner stated in a recent interview that he was surely going to bring the Grammy award to Nigeria. He claimed his unique blend of indigenous apala music fused with trap and hip hop element makes him stand out and increase his chances of winning the highest award in world music. He is renowned for the single “Champagne Shower”.

4) Skales – Skales declared his intention to win the Grammy several times ..He mentioned winning the Grammy in a track with dasuspekt and subsequently released the track ” Heading for the Grammies ” to assure Nigerians of the promise..The Artiste has releasing a string of successful singles and we hope they are worthy enough to get him the Coveted award one day.

3) BlackMagic – The Repete crooner has stated that he would be the first Nigerian act to bring home the Grammy award in an interview with a news platform in 2018. His latest project “Black Magic 3.0 (Starving Artist) was rated by critics as one of the best music projects released in 2020.

2) 9ice – “Don’t doubt me, I go bring home Grammy”. The musician stated in his hit single “Street credibility”. In three other singles; Anytime, Energy and Lord’s Prayer, he further reiterated his quest to win the grammy. We hope he fulfills his promise to Nigerians very soon.

1) Vic O –  The “Yop yop yop” crooner has stated in several interviews that he was going to win a Grammy and  its only a matter of time before this dream is achieved. The rapper claimed he is working on a remix of his hit song with JayZ and we hope the track finally gets him the desired award.
